I recently engaged in conversation with a friend of mine who is a police officer, and has been for a number of years, almost as many years as I have known him, about Quentin Tarantino speaking out against police brutality, and the response of some police officers and union officials.

I won’t cover a lot of the details here, you can search the web and find them, but I will mention that Quentin Tarantino has stated that he is NOT against the police (look for the video footage), and that my friend stated that many police officers feel that some civilians forget that police officers are community members protected by the same constitutional guarantees  that they, the police, are sworn to protect,.
